The town hall of the Dutch town of Zeist had to be expanded. A new, light building incorporating a glass structure was built onto the existing historical town hall.

Bright Buildings installed the curtain walls, glass roofs with ventilation facilities and the steel structures for the atrium. All details and the new building’s finish had to meet high aesthetic requirements to ensure optimum integration of the old and new parts.

Sustainability was an important aspect in this project. We used our Excellent profile system as a sustainable solution for the glass structures. For the walls we used triple glazing and for the roof single insulating glass panels that can incidentally be walked on.
